Happy (almost) May! I hope that everyone is having a great weekend! What a busy week we had last week in Room 118! The children did such a fabulous job jumping right back into our school routines after vacation! I look forward to another exciting week in second grade! 😃

Literacy 📚
This week in Literacy we will be reading the story, The Signmaker’s Assistant by Tedd Arnold. Through reading this story we will continue to discuss the unit question, “What does it mean to be responsible?” We will also explore the weekly question, “What happens when we do the wrong thing?” This week we will also learn about the genre of Humorous Fiction, read and spell words with vowels aw, au, augh, and al, and review the comprehension skill of identifying realism and fantasy. Math ✏
This week in math we will continue to practice adding and subtracting money amounts!
