December 4, 2022

What a wonderful week it was in Room 114! We earned our word detective badges in Readers' Workshop, practiced counting by 5's by making a class quilt in math and continued to write up a storm in Writer's Workshop! Keep up the amazing work my Room 114 friends! You are rocking first grade!

In math this week we reviewed how to count by 5's by making a class quilt!

During our guidance lesson with Mrs. Tilton this week we reread the very important book, "My Mouth is a Volcano". We then talked about what we can do to show self-control!

Practicing addition facts with a new game in Math Workshop!

For one of our read alouds this week we read, "Take a Breath". This book reminded us that everyone is on their own journey and accomplishes things in their own time. When we are feeling overwhelmed or frustrated it can help to "take a breath"!

We earned our word detective badges in Reader's Workshop this week! Way to go readers!
