FUNdations
This week in FUNdations we will begin unit 12 in our program! In this unit we will read and write multi-syllabic words like: sunset, finish and reptile. We will also practice how to read and spell the trick words: people, month, little, been, own, want Mr. and Mrs. To learn more about this unit you can click here.
Reader's Workshop π
In Reader's Workshop this week we will learn about how readers reread to smooth out their voices and to show big feelings. We will also discover the lessons familiar stories teach.
Writer's Workshop π
This week in Writer's Workshop we will continue to work on our Realistic Fiction books! We will learn how to use our superpowers to work with greater independence and to build our writing stamina!
Math π©
In math this week we will continue to practice the concepts presented in unit 7 of our program! In this unit your child will understand place value to 120, represent numbers using groups of 1s, 10s and 100s, use models, sketches, and numbers to add and subtract to 120, and count forwards and backwards by 1s,2s, 5s and 10s on a number line.
