Literacy
This week in Literacy we will be reading the story, A Turkey for Thanksgiving by Eve Bunting. Through reading this story we will continue to discuss our unit question, “How can we work together?” We will also discuss our weekly question, “How can we contribute to a celebration?” This week we will also be reviewing the genre of Animal Fantasy, reading words with long a (a, ai, ay), drawing conclusions and visualizing while reading.
Social Studies
In Social Studies this past week we learned all about the very important holiday of Veteran’s Day. Students had many great stories to share about the veterans in their lives and were asked to thank a veteran for their contributions and service to our country!
