Parent/Teacher Conferences
It was so wonderful meeting and chatting with you over the last two weeks during parent/teacher conferences! Halloween Fun!
Thank you SO much to Mrs. Goodrich, Mrs. Mace, Mrs. Stalcup and Mrs. Wheeler for helping to throw us a fantastic Halloween celebration last week! We had so much fun decorating leaves, making toilet paper roll Halloween characters, competing in Pin the Spider on the Web and playing an exciting game of Halloween bingo! We so greatly appreciate all of your time and effort! Thank you!!! :)
Math
This week in math we will be identifying numbers that come before and after, adding 10 more and 10 less, determining even and odd numbers, and using data from a chart to problem solve.
Literacy
In Literacy this week we will be reading the story, Turtle’s Race with Beaver by Joseph Bruchac and James Bruchac. Through reading this story we will continue to discuss the unit question, “How can we work together?” We will also discuss the weekly question, “When does sharing make sense?” This week we will be reviewing the genre of Folk Tale, reading and writing words that have er, ir, ur, practicing the skill of sequencing and applying the comprehension strategy of summarizing.
This week Mrs. Carroll, our Technology Specialist, taught us about internet safety and what information is and is not OK to share with someone online! Ask your child how to make a safe password and what information is not OK to share online to see all that they learned!
