I hope that everyone enjoys a safe and relaxing February Vacation! Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support! Room 118 is truly a special place to teach, learn and grow! 😄
We had so much fun celebrating the 100th day of school on Tuesday! 📣
Our Class Store! 💰
Thank you SO much for your incredibly generous donations to our classroom store! I so greatly appreciate your kindness! The children are going to have the best time spending their hard earned classroom coins when the Room 118 Store opens during math rotations on Thursday! Thank you SO much again for your support and generosity! 🙂
Valentine’s Day! ❤
Room 118 will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Thursday! If students choose to hand out Valentines please make sure they have one for each classmate. We don’t want any broken hearts! Also, it is school policy that food/candy is not exchanged at any time, so unfortunately any Valentine’s candy brought to school will not be able to be given out. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you need another copy of the Valentine's Day letter and class list that I sent home last week! Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕
Math Fun! 👍

Literacy 📚
This week in Literacy we will be reading the text, Life Cycle of a Pumpkin by Ron Fridell and Patricia Walsh. Through reading this story we will continue to discuss the unit questions, “How do things change? How do they stay the same?” We will also discuss the weekly question, “How do plants change as they grow?” This week we will also review the genre of Expository Nonfiction, learn about the vowels oo, u, apply the vocabulary strategy of context clues, integrate the comprehension skill of fact and opinion and apply the comprehension strategy of asking questions while reading. If your child would like to practice our weekly spelling words using the Spelling City website, please click 👉here!👈

We continued to learn about growth mindset this week from Class Dojo and Kid President!
This week we finished our social studies Google slide presentations! We had so much fun inserting a picture of ourselves into our projects! Have your child log onto their Google Drive account at home to see their finished product! 💻
Biff had so much fun on his home visit last weekend and was SO excited to make another home visit this weekend! We can't wait to hear about all the fun that he had!
