The children have been working SO hard to earn their daily pennies for great effort and behavior and on Thursday all of their hard work paid off with our very first classroom store of the year! Keep up the fabulous work everyone! 💰
Math ✏
This week we will continue to add two and three-digit numbers! Throughout this unit students will be exposed to many strategies for adding two and three-digit numbers such as using ones and tens models and a number line. Students will also learn a computation strategy called Partial Sums. After attending several math professional development workshops last year, it has been determined that the way we have been taught to solve two and three-digit addition problems is truly not the best way for students to learn how to add! Instead we will be using the Partial Sums method! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions that you may have!

On Tuesday, we participated in the Hour of Code to celebrate code week! The children were SO engaged and interested! Code games can be found on the website, www.code.org for students who would like to code more at home! 💻
