The next two weeks are sure to be busy and fun in Room 118 with the holiday season in full swing! I look forward to the wonderful weeks ahead! 😄
In Writer's Workshop we have been writing small moment stories! Ask your child what makes a story a small moment story to see what they have learned! ✏
Practicing trick words in Fundations using our gel boards!
In science this week, we investigated which kinds of birds are likely to visit a bird feeder based on what they eat. In our experiment, students first drew their own bird feeder design to attract a specific type of bird. Then they build a prototype of their bird feeder using available materials. Ask your child about what type of bird feeder they constructed to see what they learned through this experiment! 🐦
We are ready for winter in room 118! 👍❄
Biff is SO excited to be making his first home visit this weekend! We can't wait to hear about all the fun that he had! When Biff visits your home for the weekend he comes with a journal where his weekend adventures can be recorded! The journal and expectations have been explained to the children. It is my intention that the children will take most of the responsibility with writing a journal entry when they take Biff home for the weekend! I don't want to make more work for you! Please let me know if you have any questions! 🐶
