 I hope all of my Room 118 friends had a fantastic February Vacation! I can't wait to see everyone on Monday morning! I know that we will have a wonderful week or learning and fun back together! 😀

FUNdations ✏

This week in FUNdations we will finish Unit 10, which has focused on the double vowel combinations ai and ay.  We will then begin Unit 11. In Unit 11 we will be practicing reading and writing words with the double vowel combinations ee, ea, and ey. 

Reader's Workshop 📚

We will continue to meet the challenges of longer books this week by participating in reading goal clubs. In our goal clubs we will learn how to give feedback to group members. 

 

Writer's Workshop 🖊

In Writer's Workshop this week we will continue to learn about poetry and apply the strategies that we are learning to our own poems!

Math 🖩

In math this week we will continue to explore measurement by solving measurement word problems and comparing length. We will also learn about line plots. 

Science/Social Studies 🌎

This week in science we will participate in an experiment that will help us to answer the question, "What's strong enough to make a canyon?"
