March 5, 2022

It was so wonderful to have our Room 118 family back together after a week apart! We wasted no time getting right back into our routines and jumped right back into lots of learning! Take a look below to see just what we were up to this week!

This week during one of our read alouds we talked about the importance of using flexible thinking! πŸ‘

In math we continued to apply our measurement skills! On Tuesday we pushed race cars down a track and measured the distance they traveled. We then graphed all the data from the class on a line plot! 🏎

In science this week our experiment focused on the question, "What is strong enough to make a canyon?" Ask your child what the answer to this question is to see what they learned!

On Wednesday our math coach Ms. Conway taught our mini lesson on word problems! We continue to practice this very important but sometimes tricky skill!

We continue to learn about different languages in morning meeting! Thank you for sharing your knowledge of Chinese Teddy!

Working together to solve a math fact puzzle! We continue to work very hard on our addition and subtraction fact fluency! Ask your child about "Sticky Math" to learn one way that we are practicing our facts!
