Room 114 continued to learn, grow and have fun last week! We explored addition and subtraction strategies in math, added to our understanding of animals in science, wrote up a storm in Writer's Workshop and reached new heights of reading stamina in Reader's Workshop! While our week coming up is short, there is no doubt that we will make every minute count!

The children were SO excited to provide the read alouds for the week! Some children even wanted to read their book to the class! Way to go readers!
The reading strategy missions kept popping up on Room 114's doorstep last week! The children are doing an amazing job of being word detectives while reading books from their book bags! Go readers, go!
During our lesson with Mrs. Tilton last week we talked about what we are thankful for!
Taking attendance was never so fun!
On Friday we took a class trip to Boyden's Lost and Found! If your child has misplaced something at school please encourage them to ask me to go back to the lost and found to try to find their missing items. Any belongings not claimed by Thanksgiving break will be donated.
We continue to build a strong classroom community and work on our social skills in Morning Meeting!
