Our Field Trip
Our Field Trip to Decordova Sculpture Park is just around the corner! If you have not returned the permission slip, please do so as soon as possible so that we will be ready for our trip on October 23rd! I will be contacting those interested in chaperoning soon! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!
This week we started using "Focus Balls" to help us concentrate during whole group learning and independent working times! They have been a hit so far!
Be a Star...Read!
Last week Boyden School kicked off our reading incentive program, Be a Star...Read! I am thrilled with the amount of participation that we had in our classroom! Thank you so much for all of your efforts! Our goal is to have 100% participation this week and for all of the reading logs to come back on Friday! Keep up the great work!!!
Literacy
This week we will continue to read, A Walk in the Desert by Caroline Arnold. Students are asked to continue to practice the spelling words that were sent home last week! We will have our spelling test on these words on Friday!
Math
We have been having so much fun in math learning new concepts and skills in guided learning groups and math centers! This week we will continue to explore Topic 3 in our math curriculum which focuses on subtraction strategies!

Congratulations to Kylie who was our very first Star Student of the year! We had so much fun learning more about Kylie through her All About Me poster and through pictures that she brought in from home! We had a great time eating lunch together! Congratulations Kylie! Keep up the great work! :)
