Our Room 118 family grew this week as we welcomed Henry into our school family! We have loved getting to know Henry and feel so lucky that he has joined our class! Welcome to Boyden and Room 118 Henry!
Docent 🖌
Thank you so much to Norah's grandmother, Mrs. Cotter for presenting our very first Docent lesson of the year last week! We loved learning about different types of sculptures and had so much fun creating art pieces of our own! It was wonderful to apply all that we learned when we went on our field trip on Friday!
What a wonderful time our class had on Friday at Decordova Sculpture Park! The children learned so much and saw so many interesting art pieces! Ask your child to tell you all about their favorite sculpture from Friday's trip!
This week in math we will begin Topic 4 in our curriculum, which focuses on working with equal groups!
Literacy
This week we will review the skills and concepts presented in our first unit of stories and delve deeper into our writing program! We will not be learning a new phonics rule this week and will not be having a spelling test on Friday. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

This week we started desert brochures to show what we learned from reading our weekly piece, A Walk in the Desert! 🌵
We had so much fun using the green screen in the Innovation Lab to create desert pictures for our desert brochures! Check the blog or Twitter soon to see our finished projects! 📸
